You call it business, I call it bullshit.

So, my friend/photographer took some pictures of me months ago. We're talking 3 months and I have yet to  hear or see a picture from her or her boyfriend (since they both took pictures that day). This was also Guy #1 in my recently posted Why I hate photographers thing...
So a couple of days ago, I asked her what was up with all this basically, since when I talked to him, I wouldn't get any straight or definite answer. And this is how the conversation went out.. (with commentary)

Me: hi
  Her: hey
Me: how are you?
  Her: good
  u?

Me: ok
  Her: just ok?
Me: yeah. busy busy
fall break is coming in just in time
haha
  Her: haha yes very true
Me: what have you been up to?
Her: just going to school and photography
Me: fun
oh, you never gave me my pictures [It's been 3 months]
haha
Her: well they arent finished completely [so they looked them over?] and i have paid work that comes first
Me: yeah, i heard. just asking since it's been over 9 weeks.
Her: well, when its a favor [favor!? Hell, they asked me to do it for them, not the other way around!]we dont have a time frame [So even though I drove her around everywhere, but didn't pay them, I basically won't be getting pictures!? Such BULL]
Me: ?
Her: when its paid, we give a 3-6 week wait period [My gas is paying! She should be compensating me, since she's a good 15 min away to begin with]
but when its done as a favor, there is no time frame, especially if i have paid clients a head of you
  sorry

Me: huh... k [This is when I start getting ticked. She really called my work a favor?]
Her: jacob doesnt even do free work anymore
because people wont leave him alone when he doesnt give them the photos right away
[He doesn't even give them at all! No wonder people are jumping at his back. If he did his job like he needed to, maybe he wouldn't be dealing with this. You don't see parents complaining to LifeTouch because they get pictures (Even huge ass prints) a month later]
Me: ok, well that's ya'll perogative. i'm just thouroughly confused because i'm being told all of this months later. i mean, i get told i'll be a "company model", but then I don't hear from ya'll for a good while, and no pictures or even an update
[Seriously, they told me that. That I'd be a company model. But models in companies get gigs, get paid, and get support. I'm getting none of that from them]. honestly, i don't care. i'd rather hear "you're not getting any" than being left in the dark, you know? and i see you post work with Jo and other friends [her boyfriend just posted pictures last night with his logo all over them, so clearly he's still doing work], but really, I just want an update. that's all i'm looking for now a days
Her: yeah but jo also paid me [I'll go with it, but everyone knows Jo only has enough money to buy her nasty cigs]
Me: ok, then sorry for misunderstanding that one.
Her: if you have issues with how we operate, im sorry [Operate!? How can you call it operating when there's no response and they always seem to not know what they're doing?]
the editing process to produce quality work is a long process [Ok. I'm a design student. I KNOW how long it takes to make things. Yes, a website takes a few weeks. Photoshop editing? A few DAYS.]
and nor me or jacob will rush it [Rush meaning bother]
so, if you dont want to be a company model becuase you are impatient then thats your choice.
[Really? You're going to dangle a non-paying job like that?] we  think your a great model and like the work youve produced for us, but clients come first [in other words, we love what you do, but we think actually bothering won't pay us in any way, so why do it?]
they are the ones who keep our business going
[It's not business if you're throwing the "favors" under the bus. That's called BAD business]
Me: no, i'm not saying i don't want to be a company model. you guys are fun to work with and you have the same style as I do. I'm just saying leaving me in the dark isn't quite fair. i get the fact that paid customers come first, because i'm the same way
[Money is money..]. but at the same time, all of the work i've been doing with others i at least hear from a month later, even though i never get paid work.
Her: i'll see what i can do [bullshit.. her boyfriend said the same thing weeks ago], but don't take this offensively, but, jumping down our throats isn't going to make the photos surface any faster
Me: i'm not jumping down anyone's throat. but it goes two ways, i'm just saying.
cause i seriously haven't heard from either of you for a couple months
  Her: sorry
Me: and i am too if i seem like i'm jumping down ya'lls throats. i just need to know where we're both coming from. your both my friends. i don't want any business to get in the way of our friendships at least, ya know?

Evidently she's not that sorry, because tomorrow's her HUGE 21st birthday, and while she's going on and on about how she's excited and about how all of her closest friends are going to be with her, I haven't heard a word from her personally about it. Clearly I'm not invited. So far, I'm extremely hurt and upset. I mean, she had slept over and we talked about how we didn't have any other girl friends and how we could be each other's bride's maids and just cute bonding stuff like that. And yeah, I guess you could say we're fighting, but still. You know that feeling you got when everyone in the class got invited to something except you? Well.. maybe not everyone has that memory, but I do, and it's kind of rushing back now.

Here's some photos I did with some REAL photographers... (not them)

Thrilling Weekend..

So.. seriously, from Friday afternoon, my weekend has been on a roller coaster of DOOM! I mean seriously, how much shit could happen? Evidently.. a lot.

Friday: After a crappy day at work (which is seriously a whole blog all by itself), my friend Karate Kid texted me asking what I was up to. Honestly, I thought he was just wanting to see if I wanted to hang out. But no. He wanted call me to let me know how BIG of a douche he could be and tell me all about how this girl is walking around rumoring that he raped her and his 2 best friends hate him. Oh, and he's the kicker, he was planning on sharing an apartment with this chick! Not only that, but he decided to compare me to this bitch of a girl I didn't even know. You know how when you walk into a fancy store and KNOW you can't buy a flipping scarf in there, but you go in just to look and the sales people just stare you down the whole time waiting for you to steal something? Yeah, I felt like that. I mean, how dare he, oh friend of 7 years, walk into my crappy day and compare me like that, when I didn't even do anything mind you!? So yeah... kind a sort of hated him right then and there.
That night, he decided he wanted to "call and explain". Ha. One thing everyone seems to forget is that when I get thoroughly ticked off, I don't want to talk, see, or otherwise have contact with said-hated person. Sometimes I don't want contact with anyone at all. But this son of a gun thought he was the exception, so he kept calling and calling and heck, I just put my phone on silent and threw it in my underwear drawer. Then he thought giving me an ultimatum (ie "if we don't talk about it (or whatever the hell he said) by tonight, it's done"). Seriously. He tried to pull that on me. I don't know about you, but that's pretty ballsy, considering he's the same guy who gets pissed off when anyone throws out an ultimatum.
My response: Even 3 days didn't kill Christ. Leave me be, and I'll contact you.
Seriously, I thought I graduated from grade school and got rid of all that drama..

Saturday: Oh glorious Saturday... I had to work. We're talking I had a 13 hour work day. I had to go to my second job as a server for caterer, and that was just HELL. See, the company just got a contract with a local college, so we serve all their "wonderful" team's home football games in the boxes. You know, the ones where all the rich people sit in and watch the game from? Well, I can't stand it, and clearly other people didn't either because from the looks of it, about half the people were gone and replaced after the first game, and this was our second. Guess they knew a sinking hell hole when they saw one... but I'm poor and in debt, so.. yeah. But seriously. We go there, it's always chaos, no one ever knows what to do, and we're surrounded and serving EXTREMELY preppy people dressed up in baby blue. Seriously, how intimidating is baby blue!?
Not only that, but the manager for my box didn't even go to the game last time, so she had no idea how it went last time, and she actually acted like she did. She left for over an hour at a time, and was contradictory on so many levels. She would tell people how they needed to stay at their station, but then ask why we were just standing around and to do  put mundane task that doesn't fit our job description here . Not kidding. And everyone in the company hates her. She doesn't do anything, and come to find out the reason she got promoted to manager was because she's a tattle tell and if you don't do anything by regulations or by what she wants, she'll tell. She got a lot of people fired, still does, and that's what got her into her position. What BULLSHIT is that!?
Seriously, I hate shady corporate shit sometimes. Actually, all the time. I hate the restaurant business, but at least that was always small enough that that shit couldn't be pulled. But now I work 2 corporate jobs (yeah, you could call this one corporate cause the guy who owns the catering also owns 5 other fairly local resturants), and it's always the same: the head honcho doesn't know how things are ran AT ALL, and there's always this one bitch who somehow does whatever she wants and everyone puts a blind eye to it like that totally didn't just happen. I just want to yell and say "You can't tell me this bitch takes 2 hour lunches and you're going to pay her for overtime when she left an hour ago!?" Seriously, that shit right there is illegal, and my other job does that.. because we don't have a real time clock like every other place I know. We just fill out our own time sheet and turn it in with all the trust in the world. Makes me wonder what happens if I did that..
On the good news, this chick that works there (I think her name was Chris? I don't even know if it's with a K or not) was talking to me the whole time and she was really cool. Come to find out she needs a new roommate for her place after her boyfriend left, and she seemed interested in me. Weird, huh? She claimed it was only 15min from State, since I'm still in school, and I'd only be asked a flat rate of $320, but I have yet to hear from her since I gave her my email. She seems the kind of chilled out, doesn't always organize and clean kind of person, but who knows?

Sunday (ie today): Today wasn't that bad actually. Woke up at 2pm, didn't shower til 5pm. Just nice and relaxing. Even got to have dinner with the family. But, I missed out on the last Mae concert in town. Seriously, it's their fair well concert, and I didn't go. But my boyfriend did, and he gave me his keys, so I thought I'd relax at his place rather than sit in my crummy dorm listening to my very loud neighbors laugh about whatever they honestly thought was humorous and sitting next to the cold air vent. I even acted like the amazing girlfriend and clean up ALL the clothes/towels/sheets that are around and wash them. I should get a trophy or something, right? But nope. 12:45 rolls around and not even a text. So, I call. "Oh, we're on our way back." Good to know..
When he does come home, L (my boyfriend) tells me how he appreciated my hanging of his apron last week (cause last week I got mad and cleaned up his place (I have a 78% of being OCD and clean when I get mad)), but that he lost points in his culinary class for it was still dirty. WTF? It was on the floor next to clean clothes, because all boys think the floor is the best closet/dresser in the world and leave both clean and dirty clothes on the floor, how was I supposed to know? Ugh.
Here's a "What Disfunction Could You Have?" test. See. OCD isn't that far fetched..

Secondly, I have a thing about dark body hair/unibrow hair/any hair that doesn't belong. And L is not the exception of this at ALL. He gets little back hairs and he fights me EVERY time I bring my tweezers over. And today he decided to fight me over it again. He went on about how no one's perfect and how no one needs to fix every little problem with their body. Eventually his "perfect speech" ticked me off so I just put the tweezers and my laughter down and came over to the laptop, while he, go figure, plays a computer game. You know what? I know no one's perfect. But I think if you have a couple of black hairs growing out or maybe an unsightly mole, then yeah, you should get that just fixed. Doesn't take the time it took me to wash your towels that constantly cover the bathroom floor. And if you have a little pot belly, no, I don't think it would kill you to go running or something considering the hours you sit there playing this game or the next. You might not be bothered because you can hide it under your shirt, but I sleep with that, and Yes. It bothers me. Soooooo sorry.
And about games. What are up with the addiction of them? I say "This game isn't important." You say "No, but the time I put into them are." Where's the logic? I can understand it as a hobby, but God, when you have to support them with time, just.. ugh.

Bad Weekend.

In other news, I want to buy these:
They're from Aldo, and all my friends they're a little "too hardcore" for me. I don't care. I want some boots I could kick someone's ass in, so I'm putting in my pay check tomorrow afternoon and then buying them that night.
Secondly, I watched Whip It tonight. Great movie, seriously, I love that actress. She's like the future me: short, tiny, and in her 20's she plays kids in high school. Plus, she kicked ass in this movie. God, I wish I could do that sometimes... just be this tough girl who people won't just walk over like she won't notice..
