Ok, so I model sometimes, right? Right. And lately, I've just been so ticked with photographers I'm about to just shut down my ModelMayhem port and just leave it for good. So far, there are a few people on my Shit List.... for respectively one reason or the other..
1st Guy: He's great. He's actually a friend of a friend's and he wanted to shoot with me and have me be one of his "company's models" and whatever. Which to me, was an awesome offer so of course I shot with him. Plus, he's one of the best photographers I personally know. Problem is... We shot back in early August. It's been 8 WEEKS and I have yet to see a photo. I lied. He showed me raw photos. Photos he told me I can't use, show off, or otherwise do with other than just look at until he gives the Ok, and the edited ones, and I lost the address to the site. Seriously, 6 weeks is pushing it enough. And when I asked him last week about them and how unfair and unprofessional it all was, he said "Sorry, paid work comes first. You'll get them when I launch my site." Well, when the F is that going to be?! You've been talking about this site this whole time. Secondly, I'm sorry I didn't pay you, but you asked me to shoot, not the other way around. Ugh, I'm giving him another week before I really throw a bitch-fit and just up and leave everything. You don't treat a "company model" like this. Hell, I haven't heard or done anything since he mentioned it!
2nd Guy: Also amazing photographer. Seriously, he was really chill and had beers while he shot with me. But come to find out, I haven't had a single picture since, and I'm not really complaining because it's been 3 weeks, I'm complaining because when I stroll around the website, he has pictures of me up. Not only that, but he de-friended me. What.. the.. F? Did I do something so wrong that you like my picture, but not enough to still talk to me? (I stole got the picture, but still, I want the real ones) I friended him again and commented that it was great working with him, hoping he'll catch the hint. If I don't get a reaction by the end of the week, I'll be ticked, cause I know he's on that site almost 24/7
3rd Guy: He's basically like the first, except I don't know him. We shot 7 weeks ago, and all I've had is 4 pictures and copies of those in black and white. He told me then that he had more from me, but I have yet to see them.
4th Guy: Ok, so I shot with him twice before and he's not that terrible. Thing is, I stopped talking to him because he wanted to take pictures of me whacking off some guy, and I don't mean the gory way... So yeah, clearly dropped all communication with him. And now, a year later, he's talking to me again, asking to take pictures. But every time I ask "What of?" he just texts back "Sigh. Do all photographers work this hard to shoot with you?" Seriously, all I want to know is the concept, not how badly you want to shoot with me. Plus, I saw in his port that I'm one of his hated models, even though he told me I was his favorite. What's up with that? He denies it all, but I know I saw it, I just need to find it again..
So clearly, there's a few photographers I wouldn't mind yelling at. At all. Seriously, why do people with an expensive camera act all high and mighty sometimes? I know models get bitchy and flaky too, but I'm not one of them and they're not the only ones in the wrong.
Maybe I'll show some of my stuff just to prove that I do in fact model (despite my ever so noticeable lack of height..)
